Meaning
But for him who regulates his food and recreation, who is balanced in action, in sleep, and in waking, it shall dispel all unhappiness.
Simple meaning
Krishna completes the thought: for someone who is balanced in eating, rest, work, sleep and waking, this practice removes sorrow. Moderation is a spiritual practice.
In real life
A busy professional sets fixed times for meals, exercise and sleep. Her stress drops and her work improves, without working longer hours.
A gamer who used to play all night limits himself to evenings, and finds he enjoys both his games and his days more.
Try this today: Set one fixed time this week, for sleeping, eating or switching off work, and stick to it.
