Privacy Policy

Effective 14 October 2026

Duvidha helps you think through a hard decision with the Bhagavad Gita. What you write here is personal, so we collect as little as we can, use it only to run Duvidha, and never sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

Duvidha is run by Kunal Rustagi, Gurugram, Haryana, India ("Duvidha", "we", "us"). For anything about your data, write to kunal.rustagi2710@gmail.com.

"Ask the Gita" on the home page. The question you type is sent to our AI provider to choose and explain a verse. We do not save your question; we only count which verse was shown.

Sharing cards. When you share a verse or summary as an image, the image is made on your own device. We only count that a share happened and which verse it was, never the image or your words.

How we use AI

Duvidha's explanations are written by AI, not by a person. To personalise your journey, the text you write is sent to an AI model through our technology provider's AI service, which processes it to write your reply. We do not use your dilemma or reflections to train AI models, and we do not let anyone use them for advertising. AI can misunderstand or get things wrong, so please treat what it writes as something to reflect on, not as advice (see our Disclaimer).

Who can see your data

Only you can see your dilemma, reflections and Decision Summary in the app. We share data only with the service providers who run Duvidha for us, and only what each one needs:

We may also disclose data if Indian law, a court or a government authority lawfully requires it. We never sell your personal data.

Where your data is stored

Our providers may store and process data on servers outside India. When they do, we rely on their security and contractual safeguards, and we follow any restrictions the Government of India places on transfers.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

Email kunal.rustagi2710@gmail.com from the address on your account. We reply within 7 days and complete requests within 30 days.

Cookies and storage on your device

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a few small items so the site works: your sign-in session, your English/हिंदी choice, and, briefly, a dilemma or gift code you are carrying into sign-up. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Keeping data safe

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is locked so each account can read only its own journeys, and payment details stay with Razorpay. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as Indian law requires.

Age

Duvidha is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Grievance Officer

Kunal Rustagi, Grievance Officer, Duvidha · kunal.rustagi2710@gmail.com · Gurugram, Haryana, India. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is accepting complaints.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users by email or on the site before it takes effect.
