Understanding this verse

Simple meaning

Krishna gives a simple practice: whenever the restless mind wanders, gently bring it back. Not by force or frustration, just by returning again and again.

In real life

While studying, a student notices she has drifted to her phone. Instead of scolding herself, she calmly returns to the page. Over weeks her focus grows.

During meditation, a beginner's mind runs to office worries a hundred times. Each time he simply returns to his breath, and that returning is the practice.

Try this today: Set a 10-minute timer and focus on one task. Each time your mind wanders, note it and come back, without judging yourself.
