Understanding this verse

Simple meaning

Krishna describes a person of steady wisdom: not shaken in suffering, not hungry for pleasure, free from clinging, fear and anger. Such a person sees clearly because their mind is calm.

In real life

A team leader stays calm when a project fails, without blaming anyone, and calmly plans the fix. The team trusts her more.

An elderly grandmother who has lived through hardships responds to family crises with quiet calm, and everyone turns to her for advice.

Try this today: Pick one trigger (traffic, a rude message) and practise responding calmly to it this week.
