Understanding this verse

Simple meaning

Krishna says the person who isn't shaken by pleasure and pain, who stays steady through both, is ready for the highest freedom. Inner steadiness is a strength, not coldness.

In real life

A doctor in a busy emergency ward stays calm through both good news and bad, which lets her make clear decisions when it matters.

A young person who gets lots of likes one day and harsh comments the next learns not to let either define their mood.

Try this today: Notice one moment today where you're swept up by a high or a low. Take three slow breaths before reacting.
